What happened when cat move to Cat-Hotel? For the first time.

First, there is 1 tiny information that most people don’t know, unlike dogs; cat is attach to their home, and their paw-rents is secondary. So when they move place, they will get panic or scared, or just a little worry. Is this means, they cant move place? Or they cant stay in Cat-Hotel? The answer is THEY CAN…

They will enjoy and relax, if they know the place is save, or even they know the place is happy-place for them. So, this is the main objection when we move them, let them know that is a happy-place. So what happened when cat move to Cat-hotel? Here is what happened, and how we handle the situation. (Some procedure that we do at our Cat-Hotel and might help you paw-rents.)

FIRST DAY, every cat have their own personality and experience, so in the first day every cat might act differently, but they will “hide and observe”. Cat hide to protect them self, its their instinct, while hiding they will observe everything, they observe their surrounding, the noise that happening, the smell, everything… And its also the time we use to observe every cat-guest.

Its important to tell them its okay, so what we do is we show them our hands and let them smell it. Let them see when we give food and water. That way, they will understand that there is no harm, there are food and water available…

SECOND AND THIRD DAY, on a normal day, a normal cats, second and third day usually the same with the first day, but with more ease, more relax cat. The cat now already know the place, know that they will get water and food. In the Second and Third day, usually we in CangguCatCafe start to pet them, so starting to make relation with the cats.

Depend on the cat, in this days, If the cat seems relax, we starting to trust them to get out of their room. Because they need to see the whole area, so they know the area is also save; not just their room.

FORTH to SEVENTH DAY, on the forth day forward, the way we treat our cat-guest is the same, but in this day usually they way more relax, they will be able to relax outside their room together with other cats, and at the end they will be okay staying at our “neutral area” where they could see café area.

The whole time, cat-guest staying at CangguCatCafe, we try to give the best service for our guest, trauma free. This way, when they comeback, staying, they already know the place is save, and everything will be easier. Use the same procedure when you rehome a cats, or when you move place, it will help you and your cat-baby.
